WELCOMING GRACE QIAN XIAO

Canadian artist Qian Xiao ( Grace) was born in China in 1971. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and immigrated to Canada in 2014 having settled on the St. Lawrence River area.

Over the past decade the artist devoted herself to the artistic creation of water-based acrylics and mixed media. With the transparent, transclucent, and opaque characteristics of acrylic, Grace conveys the unspeakable poetry between dream and reality. With the combination of various media and materials, it constracts a sense of entity on an abstract background, presenting teh opposition and transformation of void and existence. Qian Xiao has her paintings in numerous collections and became an elected member of The CanadianSociety of Painters in Watercolour in 2015 and an elected member of Society of Canadian Artists on 2016.
